How to invite users to register in YouTrack

To invite one or several persons to register a user account in YouTrack:

  1.  Go Settings → Users
  2. Click the New User... button and then select the Invite Users tab.
  3. Provide a list of space-separated email addresses which owners should be invited to register an account in YouTrack
  4. Click the Invite button to send invitations to users with the specified emails.

Please note, that email notifications should be configured and functional for this to work.

How can I customize the sent email? I see no way to do it and it's not even translated using German as the default locale.

And where exactly is this "Users" page?!?  Also, who has access to this "Users" page?

I am listed as a "Project Admin".  Is that enough privilege to see the users page?

Yes. Where is Users page? We are evaluating this product, and it's troublesome that this question doesn't have an answer on this page.

I have setup the email and all that stuff and when i invite someone, i get this error....

 

Failed to invite 1 user
someuser@somedomain.com: Cannot create resource
 
Any help with this?

Mxnmike, do you use standalone or inCloud YouTrack?

Please go to Settings (cog icon, right upper corner) -> Users. This page is available if one has "low-level administration read" permissions.

Zoreyuan, that might mean you don't have sufficient permissions. Please contact the administrator of your instance to sort this out. If it doesn't help, please submit a support request and provide more details about your installation (standalone/inCloud, version, your roles).

How do I re-invite a user? They didn't respond to the invite before it was deleted from their email system, and so wanted another invite. I had to delete them and add again, which was a pain because I'd already assigned issues to them.

The question of re-inviting users by Ronmurp is still relevant. Can this be resolved ?

Hi all, re-inviting a user without recreating them is not currently possible. However, it is possible to create a pair of credentials for the user and share then with the user to let them log in. After that, they will be able to change their password.
