How to grant guest access to public projects

In YouTrack, the guest user account controls the anonymous, or guest access. To provide the guest account access to your public projects, follow these instructions.

Unban the guest account

By default, the guest user account is banned in most YouTrack instances. You need to unban it.

  1. In the Access Management section of the Settings menu, select Users.
  2. Select the guest user.
  3. Click the Unban button.

Grant roles for the public projects to the guest user account

To make some of your projects public, you need to grant access to them for the guest user account.

  1. In the Access Management section of the Settings menu, select Users.
  2. Click the link for the guest account.
  3. Select the Roles tab.
  4. Click the Grant role button.
  5. Select Issue Reader from the Role drop-down list. The Issue Reader role lets users read issues and comments.
  6. Select your public projects from the list of projects. mceclip4.png
