I'm trying to assign an issue to myself but YouTrack refuses to do so. What's wrong?

If you encounter this problem, you're probably not on the list of assignees for the project. This means that you don't belong to any of the groups that have been added to the Assignee field and have not been added as an individual user. To solve this problem, ask your project lead or administrator to:

  • Add you to a group that is included in the list of assignees for the project.
  • Add your user account as an individual assignee in the project.
