Can I integrate YouTrack with PractiTest?

An integration with PractiTest lets you create issues for failed test cases and add links to existing issues in YouTrack. Additional information and setup instructions are available on the YouTrack Integration page of the PractiTest website.

On the YouTrack side, the only thing you need to do is create a project for tracking test results and configure the fields in the project to store relevant values.

Working with the PractiTest Integration

When the integration is enabled, the following functionality is available:

  • When you encounter an issue during testing, click the Fail & Issue link. This opens YouTrack in a new browser tab or window. If your browser is configured to remember your YouTrack username and password, you navigate directly to the New Issue page.
  • After you have created the issue in YouTrack, switch back to PractiTest, enter the issue ID in the Issue ID, then click the Link existing issue button. You can enter multiple issue IDs separated by commas or spaces.

Once you have performed these actions, the YouTrack issue is linked to the test step in PractiTest. You can click the issue ID in PractiTest to open the linked issue in YouTrack.

Latest Verified Version

The integration between YouTrack and the PractiTest QA & test management system is provided and supported by H.S. PractiTest. The integration has been verified by the YouTrack QA team. At this writing, we are not aware of any changes in either application that break this integration.

If you experience problems with this integration when using the latest version of either YouTrack or PractiTest, please report them here.
