Negative values in Cumulative Flow Diagram Report?
Completed
Hello. Please excuse me if I am not understanding the CFD correctly. I thought one could not have negative numbers in the diagram, am I mistaken? In generating a CFD I get results like this:
and
If I expand the In Progress state, it looks like this:
Is that correct? How would we interpret a negative number of In Progress issues?

Hello Luis, are you using an InCloud or a standalone YouTrack instance? If it's InCloud, please tell us the name of the instance. If it's standalone, please write us the build number that you're using to youtrack-feedback@jetbrains.com
Thank you!
Hello Liubov,
It is an InCloud instance at https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com
Thanks.
Could you please provide the screenshot of the report's settings or the name of the report, so we can take a look at it?
One of the reports is called Rhino 6.0. I just made another called Rhino Test 6.0. I believe they both have the same query / project / time settings.
Can you please share your report with everyone, I can't see it?
Ok. Switched to 'All Users'
Hello. Any resolution to this issue?
Sorry for the delay. We can see a lot of issues with broken history. Could you please let me know, what integration from user bozo are you using? How it's using REST, which methods?
Hello. The person in charge of these matters is on vacation. I'll pass this on to them and let you know.
Thanks.
Luis, I'm sorry for the delay.
1) We recommend you to tweak your integration so that it doesn't perform multiple requests simultaneously but always waits for all requests to be responded.
2) We can fix your database, but it requires a short downtime of your InCloud instance. Please let us know when it would be convenient for you. The downtime shouldn't take more than half an hour.
Thank you.
Liubov,
Bozo has been disciplined and should be more patient. As an example, https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-38849 was managed by the updated Bozo. Does this way of calling the API look better to you?
Regarding the second comment, I'll have to check with our team on when this could happen.
Thanks,
Luis
Liubov, Lüba,
I spoke with our team.
1. What does the database fix entail? What exactly will it do? Is it automated?
2. Can it be scheduled for 18h PDT / GMT -7? That will probably be the least invasive for our team.
All the best,
Luis
Luis, our team usually works in the GMT +3 timezone, so 18:00 will be 3AM here, and it's not possible unfortunately.
How about 10:00-13:00 in our timezone? It should be 1-3AM in yours.
Liubov,
The time you propose is fine.
Please let me know when you have completed the fix.
Hello Luis, I was going to restart your instance but I see that currently there are 14 users online. The restart will cause a downtime of your instance, so it's going to break their work flows. Is this time really convenient?
Yes. That is fine.
I've just restarted your instance, could you please check your cumulative flow and let me know if that helped?
Thank you.
Hello Liubov,
Checking the 'Rhino Test 6.0' Report, I still get negative values for In Progress and Submitted:
Also, the report says there are 11 open issues, when if fact, the same query brings up 17 open issues:
Luis, we'll investigate this further. Please tell, have you recalculated the report?
Thanks.
Yes, the report has been recalculated.
Hi Luis, I'm sorry for the delay. I need to restart your instance again to try to fix the issue anew. Could you please tell, when it would be convenient for you to restart? Your instance will be unavailable for 10-15 minutes.
Dear Liubov,
Please go ahead with the restart.
I've restarted your instance, could you please check your cumulative flow now? Thanks.
Hello Liubov, It seems this has fixed the negative values issue. We'll keep monitoring this in case something strange happens.
Thanks.
Thanks for letting us know! Please feel free to write us to youtrack-incloud-support@jetbrains.com in case you have any further questions.
