Timetracking using Kanban board.
Answered
Hello,
i'd like to know how can i use the timetracking within a Kanban board. Didn't find any resource on documentation about it, only with Agile Board.
Thanks.

Hello Daniel, I'm sorry for the delay.
Please refer to this guide, this is a general one for all types of Agile boards, including Kanban boards: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/incloud/2017.2/Time-Tracking-on-Agile-Board.html
Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help. Thanks!
Thanks for your reply Liubov.
I have another question about Time Tracking. It's there a way to automatically track time in work itens instead of a manual entry from the user?
What we need is a state like "In Progress", meaning that the task is being done right now and we want to track the time this task spent on this state. We use something like that in a Scrum project using a custom workflow. But since kanban uses diferentes states than scrum, we don't know if the same workflow would work on a kanban project as well.
Didn't find anything on documentation about this issue.
Anyway, thanks for your help.
Daniel, I can suggest you create a copy of the Work Timer workflow (https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/incloud/2017.2/Workflow-Work-Timer.html) for your kanban project and to update it according to the fields and states that you actually use there.
Please note that at the moment this workflow is written using our old workflow schema, but it'll be replaced with a rewritten JS workflow after the nearest 2017.3 release (is planned to happen within a week or two). it could be challenging to rewrite a workflow in the old schema, so I can suggest you to wait a bit until the release and tweak the updated JS workflow.
Let me know if you have any questions.
