does youtrack support issue creation / update via plain mail?

My company is evaluating changing it's bugtracking system.

Our current system supports creating issue or updating issues (adding comments) by sending mail, the bugtracker polls a dedicated mail box and new issues get created when a mails comes in without bug identifier, and updates when a matching bug identifier is in the subject.

This is a critical feature to us; does YouTrack supports anything similar? I wasn't able to match such feature in the documentation / product description?

Thanks

Hello Gauthier,

YouTrack supports integration with mailbox by creating new issue from email message. You can define the reporter of such issues:can be set to email sender or predefined user in your system. You can also setup the command to be applied to the issues created from email. All the replies to the email with the same subject will be added as issue comments, but you won't be able to change issue attributes by sending an email.

Please, find more details about YouTrack mailbox integration in the documentation

Thanks, it seems accurately answering our need.

Also thanks for pointing to the documentation page that I overlooked.

Stefan,

AFAIU, this question is obsolete, isn't it?
