Error on Webpage while opening filter "Assignee" and filter "State"

YouTrack is a great piece of tool, we just introduced to our team.

Unfortunately after doing a lot of administration there is now an error occuring while trying to open the filter "Assignee" and the filter "State"

1.) Filter "Assignee"

2) Filter State

"Calculating" is shown but nothing happens. In order to change the sorting of the field "State" in the dropdown I copied the bundle "States" to bundle "State" and used this for the field state. After that the filter doesn't work anymore as described. An error message I cannot access anymore said something like "object is null..."

Any idea on this?

what is the version of YouTrack do you use?

Does this error reproduce in Firefox or Chrome browsers?

meanwhile we found the cause for the error (which I described not very accurate).

Problem was, while trying to filter for "Type" and "State" the web page runs on an error and the filter values did not come up (never stopped calculating).

Apparently the code was stucked in an loop. Finally we found the reason for that. Some issues were created with empty values for the mentioned fields but somehow in the settings of the projects(!) (not in the seetings of the custom fields) these fields were marked as "can't be empty'.

When we put values for every issue in these fields the error did not occur anymore.

Maybe you can reproduce the error with this information.

Our version of YouTrack is 3.2.2
