How do I limit the input fields on the new issue form?

So that only buttons for priority, type and a few custom fields are displayed across the bottom?

Hello Zac,

You can turn on the 'Private Access' option when creating/editing any custom field, which makes this field be visible for the users with the specific 'private read/update issue permission' only. In the next YouTrack version we plan to convert all the issue attributes to customizable, so you'll be able to limit access to all the issue attributes. Also, you can tune the access to all the issue attributes using the 'Update Issue' permission.
