Mass update 'state' field through Command?

Hi

I need to update 158 entries in our YouTrack instance which currently have a state of 'Triage', these need changed to 'Confirmed'. I have queried out all records I require via search (State: Triage) and then selected all records via check box. Within the command window I type 'State Confirmed' which works find for 1 record at a time.

When applying this to all records Command Preview reads 'unknown command'. Applying it yields no change with a system error 'Can't submit incorrect command.'.

Going through them one by one is something I am keen to avoid if possible. Can you please advise if I have ran the wrong command or if there is perhaps a problem with the system?

Thanks
Anthony

Hello Vikaschandel,

I see that you have created a separate How to change status of multiple issues at the same time? thread for this task. So, lets continue discussing in that thread.

Hello Anthony,

please unsure

- you updated issues from single project

or

- if issues are from many projects 'State' fields is attached with the same (shared) bundle.

- you have rights to update 'State' field

- you still can see all that issues (anyone synchronously didn't change any issue visibility group)

Hi

Wonderful thanks. We have 2 projects and I was applying the command to 'All Projects', of which they did not both share the same 'State' fields - slight naming difference I was unaware off.

The fix as above is to apply the command to each project seperatly or at least share the bundle across all projects.

Thanks

Anthony

Hi,

I need to update 180 resolved bugs status to closed. Please help me how to do that.I have selected single project and then applied "state" filter as "resolved".Now it shows the list of 180 resolved bugs for that project. Now i don't know what to do next.

Thanks
