Is there a way to sync issues from a project across 2 YouTrack instances?
Use Case: We are a service provider working for several customers and each of them got their own YouTrack from us. For better management across all those customers it would be nice if we could sync issues from each of those individual YouTrack installations with our own one.
Is anything like that possible?

Unfortunately, it's not possible. I'd recommend you to use an InCloud version for these purposes.

You can register an InClod instance on your own JetBrains Account to manage the instance by yourself, there is no need to share this account between your customers. Then you'll create YouTrack user accounts so each customer will have permissions for there target projects only. I think that's best variant that suits your needs.
In general, your customers can export issues from their projects to a CSV format to save their issues. You can accomplish this with our REST API or simply with our Reports option.
By adding an observer like 2nd-youtrack-instance@mydomain.com you could at least sync one-way by using the mailbox integration support from youtrack.
