Can I trigger email notifications only for certain status changes?

No matter what the "Visible To" field is set an issue, the unregistered user who entered an issue through email ALWAYS gets ALL notifications, whenever there is any change to the issue, or a comment is added.

I do not want to do this.

I want only TWO notifications to be emailed:

1. When a new issue is created.

2. When the status of the issue is either changed to "Resolved" or to "Assigned Back to User".

Is there a way to do this?

Hi Sunil,

Could you please add more details: what kind of mailbox integration you are using (the one with additional workflows attached or the one with simple integration)?

If the first one, then the notifications are set up in workflows (they are sent for a new comment only by default).

If the second one, then the user, who has reported an issue, always sees all issues they reported (unless they lost the Read issue permission for a project). In this case, you'll need to change the default subscription rules for each user (which is not a solution if you have a lot of new users created often) and write additional workflow rules to support the second notification you've mentioned.
