bug? Giving visibility of an issue to a user is not showing them commit entries

Answered

We have certain issues which we assign visibility to someone on another team (manually). They can see the issue and add comments, but they can't see the commits that are posted or add any commits of their own.

They have the same permissions (Developer) as all the people on the team who can see the issue by default and who can see/add commits.

Is this a bug or a setting somewhere?

Hello Sean!

When you're configuring your integration, you're setting the groups that can view the VCS changes ('Commiters' setting). You need to check if your users are in these groups.

Let us know if we can assist you further.

I'm not asking about the voting (which we don't need in this case), but rather visibility of Git commits.

Thanks, Luibov,

Where is the 'Committers' setting? I can't find that under Roles, nor on the Project page under VCS.

Hi Sean, I'm very sorry for the delayed response.

When your integration is configured, you can click it on the list of VCS integrations and modify/check its settings: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/incloud/GitHub-Integration.html#integration-settings

There are fields 'Committers' and 'VCS changes visibility' that you need to check
