Workflow API for adding tags

We are heavily using Workflows to customize our processes and we found one flaw in

Apparently, our bugs being automatically reported by zendesk integration and are tagged according to ownedField owner, we tag those to differentiate them from others, but the problem is when we use issue.addTag() method, it creates by default a private tag as it says in your documentation, it would be nice to be able to set visibility and editing permissions alongside with color and notifications (just like creating a tag normal way via UI) through Workflow API, so that we can have a better control of our automation.

Hello,

If you need to add a customized tag, create this tag using your profile settings, set it up, and make it visible to the required users. Then, if you add this tag using workflow, it will use these settings.

Unforunately this is not helpful answer.

What is needed is the opposite, I understand it doesn't exist yet, how do I escalate a feature request?

When people create scripts (workflows) and use automated decision making on how to name and tag cards, they don't predefine these tags in a Profile of a single person to be able to show automated tags to everyone, what if the person left the company? All tags are under his profile.

The entire tagging system is build in an inefficient way now, at least being able to control the tag permissions through API could solve that partially.

Thank you for the clarification. We already have a separate Allow to create and add shared tag in workflow feature request regarding this functionality. Please feel free to vote for this to increase its priority and to receive the updates.
