How to assign board to an issue?

Simple question.

Manager manages issues. When he decides to assign issue to a user - yes, he can do this easily from gui or programmatically. He can also assign board to an issue (or vice versa) by navigating into an issue, pressing "Add board" and executing a suggested command.

Otherwise, without adding a board, issue is assigned, but invisible to Assignee because it doesn't belong to his board.

Yes, I can execute such command (add Board boardname) from a workflow too, but in order to make it - I need to get either all available boards and somehow iterate through them to find Assignee boards, which is inefficient, or to get Assignee boards directly.

How can I automate this process? How to get Assignee boards programmatically? I haven't found any corresponding methods in Agile, User, Project entities.

Hi!

Thanks for your post.

Either one of these or, what I think is the most efficient solution, is to have these tasks appear on the board automatically. It can be achieved if the assignees set the board to Filter Cards to Match a Query and set the query to Assignee: <username>. Then the tasks assigned to the user will appear on the board automatically.
