One of my state fields shows one of the posible values twice

I have a state field with 3 options but some of my tasks have one of the options shown twice like this:

So, my question is why and how can I fix this? I am 100% sure I have not added one of the options twice. I have a few workflows that assign states into state fields so maybe it doesn't correctly pair with the existing state? Any advice?

Hi M. Mrenica ,

This isssue is causing our issues to not be resolved when they should be because it's impossible to mark this ghost option as resolved.

Do you mean to say that selecting any of the two duplicated values is not possible? Or is 9 - Done also not selectable?

Normally, there cannot be two identical values of a custom field in a project ("Element name should be unique" is the error displayed when trying to add a value with an existing name). When you CMD/Ctrl+F 0 - Draft on the page, do you get search matches for both values?

I can't switch from 0 - Draft to the other 0 - Draft, I can howerver switch to something else like 1… or 9… and than back. If I do that one of the 0s dissapear. Ideally I would like to never have to change this field and still be able to resolve the issue. Resolve meaning the name will be grey and code crossed out.

The duplicate values may indicate a DB error. If this continues to be a problem, please submit a support request for our further investigation.

If you have several state fields in the project, the issue needs to have a value with the Resolved property in all of these fields to be considered resolved. Only then will it be displayed in grey and strikethrough: Resolving Issues with Multiple State-type Fields.
