Mobile App: "Network request failed (i)"

I'm having a difficult time connecting to YouTrack with my mobile device.

I can connect to it just fine from my laptops. When I try to connect with the mobile device, I get that error. I' installed build Build 2024.2.37269 from a ZIP on a Mac workstation trying to connect using an iOS 17 device.

I had self-signed certificates, but already changed those. I now have a CA set up on that same workstation and I re-generated a cert and key through that CA. There's not an issue with my browsers or WebCatalog. It's just the mobile device. I will say that my browsers do complain. They used to complain that the cert was self-signed. Now they complain that they don't recognize the CA. But I can still use it. I added the CA profile to the iPhone, but that didn't help.

Do I need to use an independent CA? Do I need to try certbot? Or is it something else?

Thank you so much to everybody involved. I love this software solution.

Thank you for your kind words! We are happy to know that YouTrack suits your needs.

The certificate must be issued by a trusted authority. If it is signed by a trusted CA like Let's Encrypt, it should work normally. So I would recommend looking into these options that you mentioned instead of trying to make the OS accept a local CA, which may be complicated, if possible at all. Also, self-signed certificates are not supported, although we do have a feature request about it in our public tracker: YTM-15012.
