Email notifications and Agile Boards

We just upgraded to Youtrack 7.0. Our Project manager went into one of the Agile boards she created in 6.5 and updated the search query. This change excluded some issues which originally showed up on the agile board. In doing so, however, all of the issues that were excluded sent out notifications to their respective watchers despite the fact that no fields were updated. This history shows an erroneous "No Sprint" message as though a field change is occurring. Is there a way to update a search query without a bunch of notifications being blasted out?
