Code 503 when sending message to Jabber Bot (YT InCloud)

Hi,

Our company uses YouTrack InCloud and I've tried to set up the Jabber notifications and the bot. The notifications work fine, but when I am trying to send a message to the Jabber bot, my IM client (Adium) pops up an error dialog saying the message could not be sent and an error code 503.

Maybe it is related, but somehow I'm not being authorized by the YouTrack Jabber account.

Allright, the bot now responds, but Adium and Messages both say I'm still not authorized...

i've found this in our jabber logs

ejabberd.log-20130611.gz:I(<0.27656.616>:ejabberd_s2s_out:1204) : Trying to open s2s connection: myjetbrains.com -> yb.nl with TLS=true
ejabberd.log-20130611.gz:I(<0.27656.616>:ejabberd_s2s_out:235) : s2s connection: myjetbrains.com -> yb.nl (remote server not found)

looks like you have some issues in your DNS records

Could the fact that we use Google Apps for Business be an issue? Because 'yb.nl' resolves to our webserver, but we use Google Talk as Jabber service. I did add a bunch of SRV records (_jabber._tcp, _xmpp-client._tcp and _xmpp-server._tcp), all pointing to the Google servers.

Hello Erwin,

Yes, that could be an issue.
I've created a feature request to be able to add your own Jabber Server http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JT-20262 . I beleive this would be implemented in nearest releases after YouTrack 5.0.

Thank you.

Hmm, I think I was a bit impatient. Everything is now working as expected, I just re-requested authorization from the bot and it immediately responded.

I'm sorry if I caused any trouble.

Erwin,

I should say, currently, you are the first for whom it appears successfully.

Thank you for getting back to us.
