Unable to access TeamCity server via SSL

Hello!

I'm trying to connect to a TeamCity server via SSL. I have added the full certificate chain to the cacerts file of my JRE ($JAVA_HOME/lib/security/cacerts) as well as to the list of trusted certificates of the YouTrack instance. Still I'm getting this error whenever I try to connect to the TeamCity server:

PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.

Am I missing something?

Hello Christian,

Thank you for reporting this.
Actaully, the best place to address TeamCity issues is related forum.
Anyway, I've addressed the question to TeamCity team so they will answer shortly.

Thank you.

Hello, Andrey!

Thanks for you reply. Re-reading my initial post I have to say that I wasn't explicit enough in what I'm trying to do, sorry. To be clear: I'm trying to establish a connection between YouTrack and TeamCity via YouTrack's TeamCity Integration.

Hello!

I've finally figured out what goes wrong: the web server is configured as a named virtual host. Presumably YouTrack tried to connect to the server via its IP (as opposed to its host name). Consequently a different SSL certificate is in effect which has not been marked trustworthy.
