Database Size Continues to Grow and Performance Continues to Degrade

We have been using YouTrack heavily at our company for sometime now and the database size continues to grow and performance continues to suffer.

I have seen a few startup flags mentioned before to help reduce the size of the database, but it is unclear from the existing threads what the plan of action should be for users in our position.

We are using JetBrains Bug & Issue Tracker  YouTrack 5.2  Build 8723 [16-Apr-2014 17:21]. Here are our stats:

I have updated our build of YouTrack as well as increased the RAM available to the process. The system seems more responsive overall, but I think there is room for improvement.

Are there any other things we should be trying?
