Is it possible to edit time on another users task?

Answered

Is it possible for one user (example; Scrummaster) to edit time on a task assigned to another user? If so, how do you configure this option? Currently the time does not appear editable except on tasks owned by you.

Hello Robert,

Yes, it's possible to edit work items added by other users if you have an 'Update not own work item' permission. This permission is included into the Project Admin role by default. So you can either assign Project Admin role to a user, or provide a user with a separate permission. Please navigate to Administration->Users->User.Name->Access->Permission->Grant Access.

Thanks for the information, but this does not work for the Agile board as far as I can tell. The process we use for all our Scrum teams, is that each team member provides the time they spent at standup, and the ScrumMaster enters these values for the entire team. This is an important aspect for us, as it allows the team visibility into not only stories being worked, but also where the time is being spent and whether anyone is struggling. I provide three screenshots showing three possible solutions that you may wish to consider. Thanks.

Hello Robert,
Thanks for the details, now I understand that you mean adding work items for other assignees. You can edit the existing time entries, but you cannot add a new work item for someone else. I've created a feature request based on your question: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JT-30117.
Please watch it and add your comments. We are going to introduce a number of Agile board improvements in the next major version, so we'll consider your request within the next planning.
Thanks,
