Notifications

Where do you configure which users receive notifications when an issue is updated\closed? We seem to have an issue where people that haven't been involved on an issue receive an update when a ticket is closed...

Hello Damian,

Thank you for your request!
Notifications can be configured in users Profiles> Filters and Notifications. Disable required actions (on issue updated in this particular case) for target saved searches.

Is it possible to set this globally for all users?

For instance I have a saved search and I would like all users to get notifications when issues are created in this search.
Currently I have built this as a custom workflow - but this is a bit cumbersome.

Basically I just want assignees to be notified when they get a new issue assigned to them.

Hello  Anders,

Yes, it's possible. Saved search can be shared to target group and then each user can navigate to his Profile -> Filter and Notifications and enable required notifications for this search.

But in your particular case, you even don't need to create a saved search. There is a default search "Assigned to me". So, user need to check if it's enabled or not on Filter and Notifications page.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I was a bit unclear in my question.
What I want to know is if it is possible to force this notification upon all users as a standard?

Anders,

Notifications on "Assigned to me" are enabled by default for new users(check screenshot).

Ok thanks for the info. During the setup and customization of our youtrack installation I have either renamed or deleted the Saved search "Assigned to me".

Is it possible to set default notifications for saved searches? Eg. so that I can recreate the standard behavior.
