Running YouTrack as a service (Ubuntu 10.04) upgrade

Hi,

I upgraded our YouTrack 4.0.3 to version 4.1.1, as our previously version was running as a service within Ubuntu 10.04, i assumed i only had to replace the JAR file it won't startup... (it says so in when i start it with /etc/init.d/youtrack start, but the wrapper says it cannot start)

If anyone can assist me i would appreciate it :)

Hello, Eelko!

Could you, please, provide us with some more details about the problem:
1. Do you have permission to execute command "/etc/init.d/youtrack start"?
2. Did you stop YouTrack before update "jar"?
3. Please, tell what exactly wrapper reported.
4. If it possible attach wrapper log file.

Regards,

Hi,

First of all, i have now 4.0.3 up & running again. But it was quiete a pain. Guess it has something to do with the wrapper. Because it was difficult to fall back to the old version, i am now scared for an upgrade tot 4.1 even though it should be quite easy?

1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3 & 4) Included a part of the log, right after i gave the shutdown command to stop YouTrack, so i could replace the JAR.

part-wrapperlog.log (152KB)

Thanks in advance :-)

Please, check wrapper.conf (wrapper64.conf) file.
Make sure, that you have correct value for variable "wrapper.java.classpath.X"
There should be path to new YouTrack 4.1 jar.

wrapper.java.classpath

That is the same and correct (symbolic link,as described in the tutorial)

wrapper.java.classpath.3=%CATALINA_HOME%/youtrack.jar
