can't access to data after power loss

HI,

I had a crash of my Pc because of power loss. After rebooting the login to Youtrack leads me to the http://localhost/setUp.

How to recover the web-interface to get all my data ??

Hello Hendrik,

It was already handled in email thread, anyway I'll repeat it here for other YouTrack users.

On WinOS, when you log in with different OS users, YouTrack creates a new database for each OS user, that's why you've been redirected to setup page.
If it's the case, log in under the same OS user as you were logged before PC crash.

Thank you.

Hi again,

sorry, maybe my last mail was a little bit missleading.
1. I always use the same WinOS user (named "user", but with admin rights)
2. I used a different username for logging in into youtrack ("root")
3. I have a second youtrack user (not WinOS user), which password is currently unknown.

So maybe it would be the questions what happend to the userdata. Having a short look into the userprofile of the windows user. Found a teamsys dir with xd.lck-files. But renaming them doesn't solve the problem.

With best regards,
Hendrik Gerlach

Hi,

maybe this will help (in Logfile localhost.2013-12-03.log):

SCHWERWIEGEND: IOException while loading persisted sessions: java.io.WriteAbortedException: writing aborted; java.io.NotSerializableException: jetbrains.charisma.installation.SetUp_RootHtmlTemplateController

and this (from youtrack.log):

Hendrik,

You can find a YouTrack database under user_home/teamsysdata .
We strongly recommend don't rename xd files as it's files belong to your database.
To check to what Win user does the database belong, you may take a look at the path to a /teamsysdata folder. It stores under user's profile, as you've already mentioned.

Seems it's an issue with reseting base URL.
Please, try to start YouTrack with database.location parameter set as path to your original database.
Also, on setup page, what did you see in License field, and others? Are there any data from your original instance?

Thank you.

Andrey,

I have 2 teamsys folders on my PC. One under
C:\Documents and Settings\user\teamsysdata and another one under
C:\teamsysdata

Seams that they are both in use, because the files have an actual date.

The Files I renamed were only the Lock files xd.lck. I think they are only for file locking and I thought that they are left after the crash and block the access.
The Lockfile under C:\Documents and Settings\user\teamsysdata was recreated by youtrack meanwile, the ones under C:\teamsysdata and C:\teamsysdata\textindex were not (maybe this path is not really in use ? But some files and directories there have a current date).

So I don't know which of the both locations to use for a manual start, requested above (nor how to do this at all).

On the setup page the 2 License Fields are filled out and the Base URL (http://localhost). The Checkbox "User Registration" too. Others (e.g. the checkbox "Accept license agreement") not.

Regards, Hendrik
