How can i create a custom field with an url value

I would like the same thing.  We use YouTrack for our Scrum process internally in IT, but the rest of the company uses a different issue tracker and I want to add a link to the ticket in the external system, that way after it is completed and tested we can easily just click and update the status in the other system.

Is this possible?

Unfortunately it hasn't implemented yet. Please vote for/follow the JT-6170.

As a workaround you can use a field of the type 'string'.
