OpenID and Google

You state in your documentation that you support Google authentication integration via OpenID. However Google has closed registrations to use its OpenID provider many months ago. So currently there is no way I can integrate your product with our enterprise. Please update your documentation.

Additionally, they are turning off their OpenID 2.0 service completely by the middle of next year. And I don't see any mention of supporting this in the Harmony release. So as of next year, there won't be any way for current and new customers to integrate with Google auth.

Hi Steven,

Yes, we do support Google OpenID. As you've already mentioned, Google is migrating to OpenID 2.0, thus new integrations don't work but, all users that previously integrated with OpenID, are able to use it successfully.
When the process will be completed, we plan to support the option .

Thank you.

Google is not migrating to OpenID 2.0. They have deprecated it (see https://developers.google.com/+/api/auth-migration#timetable ). As of April of next year, it will be completely turned off. They are migrating to OpenID Connect, which is altogether different.

When you say you will wait till the process is completed - are you saying you will wait till they turn it off in April and then work to support it? All your customers that are using Google will not be able to get into their application until you support that option. This is the point of offering a migration path - to give vendors and customers time to support the new approach before it is removed.
