Custom Search Order does not appear to be working for us
Answered
Greetings,
We are using Youtrack Standalone: Build 17105 19-May-2016 22:23
We are attempting to make use of the custom search ordering feature but it does not appear to be sharable. If I create a custom ordering, save a search- then query that search- I see the custom ordering but other team members do not. I have checked to make sure that the saved search is visible to all and even set it as a search context locally. Is there something else we need to do?

Hi Ryan, could you please submit a request into our support system and attach a screenshot with your saved search query and a screenshot from a member of your team with failed sorting?
I have the same issue as Ryan and it really affect us... Is here anyone who can help us?
Thank you
Simon
Simon, in order to share a saved search, you need to:
1) create it and make sure that target users can see this saved search, i.e. they're included into the visibility group of the saved search.
2) _pin_ this saved search so that it appears in the context dropdown on the top.
3) after that other users will be able to see this saved search in the list of searches available to them, and also to pin it.
More about this algorithm you can find here: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/incloud/2017.2/Saved-Search.html
If there is something about your case that doesn't correspond to the algorithm I've described, please share some details and screenshots.
Thanks it works, but only for general way, what i am looking for is custom order. My product managers can edit their backlogs and share this order with the rest of us... But unfortunately they share only saved search without custom order, so we can not see how they set the order of tasks.

Same issue here. I can set up a saved search without issue. I can even custom sort and see that custom sorting on my end. However, no one else sees the custom sorting.
To see the custom order, you need to set this saved as search as a search context: (see screenshot). https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/incloud/2017.2/Search-Context.html
When you're reordering issues, this order is saved for the search context that is selected currently. If your colleagues set this search as a context as well, they'll be able to see the custom ordering as well.
It works! Thanks :)
