Need short-term consultant to perform upgrades from an old version of YouTrack to the latest version

We're still running youtrack from 2022 (the jar version) and I've been having trouble trying to upgrade. I could not get the first zip version to install….never mind that it seems we now need to use docker (which is already running on that server for a different tool that we use(

I'm looking for someone with youtrack/linux experience who could perform the upgrades and get us to the latest version. I did a search but only got the usual companies like upwork and toptotal, both of which I've used in the past and have gotten royally screwed by contractors whose CVs were vastly exaggerated. Obviously I will pay for their time.

I've submitted several tickets - although your people respond quickly, the information doesn't really help me. As for that documentation, it's seriously incomplete.   I did go through the partners and send a couple of emails but didn't hear anything back. My sense is my problem is too small for your partners.

The thing is, there is this notion that developers can just do everything — I'm not a Linux admin (and don't want to me) and it's a poor use of my time to try and figure out something that just needs to “work”. I would rather pay someone to just handle the entire upgrade process and be done with it!  Your support team is very responsive but it would be great if they had a “paid” support feature to handle this kind of thing. I would quite happily pay a reasonable amount to get this upgrade done.

I'm afraid we don't provide installation/upgrade services for YouTrack Server. If you want a no-hassle solution, you can use YouTrack Cloud. This way, all updates and other maintenance will be handled by our Cloud team.

Your cloud version is far too expensive — it shouldn't cost me more than a couple of hundred dollars to have a consultant upgrade our system but moving to your cloud version would multiply my annual cost by a factor of 6 or so
