Create Burndown Chart on Imported Data
Hello. I am trying to create a historical burndown chart on imported data, but it is not working. I imported both Created and Updated dates, Story Points and State = Done. Should I have imported different dates or states to be able to create this type of historical burndown that occurred in the past?

Did you import tasks?
The only items that we had in our old system was User Stories and Descriptions that I imported as "Issues", Type = Story. Then, I imported the Created Date, Updated Date, along with the State of "Done" with these issues. Do the burndown charts only work off of tasks? I have tried the burndown charts with issues manually entered into YouTrack (stories not tasks) and the burndown charts work fine. Below is a sample of the data from the import:
Are these imported issues resolved?
I imported a "Resolved" date, as you can see from the screenshot attached in the previous comment. Is there a separate field or "state" that has to be imported with the Resolved date? For example, Created Date = To Do, Resolved Date = Done.
If you can just tell me what fields the Burndown charts are created from, then I can attempt to import all necessary fields. It is if during the import of the data that the "created state" and the "resolved state" are the same and the burndown chart is just a flat line at 0. There must be some other field that indicates when the issue was marked as resolved that is creating the burndown chart. Thanks!
Please try to run the query #Resolved and check what is the result.
Also, what is your YouTrack's version and how did you import the issues?
YouTrack version: 2018.2, Build 42223.
Data was imported via Python 2.7.15, CSV file.
#Resolved Query did not yield any results. Screenshots below.
Let me know if you have any additional guidance.
Any update on this issue or if it is possible to create a burndown on imported historical data? Thank you!
Currently it's not possible to create a burndown on imported data, I'd recommend you to create a bug report for it on our tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue?draftId=25-2044419
