Today I get a SSL/TLS error when trying to connect.
Hello,
this morning I have this exception when I try to connect to YouTrack API:
System.Net.WebException: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.
Until yesterday the same code worked perfectly.
Do you have troubles on your servers or something has changed (new API or similar)?

Hello Alessandro, actually, we have deprecated TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 in the cloud recently: https://blog.jetbrains.com/youtrack/2020/01/legacy-tls-protocols-deprecation-warning-for-youtrack-incloud/
Please upgrade to the TLS 1.2 and let us know if you have any issues, we'll be happy to assist.
Thank you for the information.
I didn't know of this change, I did not receive any notification (is it possibile to receive such notifications via email in advance?).
In the link it says "we are going to disable legacy TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocol versions in favor of TLS 1.2 effective March 1, 2020", but up to yesterday (March 5, 2020) we did not have any issue. Have you postponed the change until today? Else that cannot be the problem we are facing...
Alessandro, although we have planned to disable the older versions on March 1, actually, yes, we disabled these versions only on March 5.
In most cases, when we announce any major changes that might affect our users, we send these announcements to the instance administrators. In this particular case, we expected that the number of affected users was relatively small, hence there was only a post on our blog. If you wish to receive notifications from the blog, feel free to subscribe to its posts in the panel on the right: https://blog.jetbrains.com/youtrack
Please let us know if the issue persists, we'll investigate your case further.
