Hey everyone! If you are interested in YouTrack becoming a dedicated desktop app, feel free to share your feedback and vote for the following feature request: JT-84872 YouTrack desktop application.
yeapc Thank you for sharing your opinion! We are happy to know that you enjoy using YouTrack. Unfortunately, there are still no plans to develop a desktop app yet, but if it gets considered at some point, your feedback here will certainly be helpful.
I was also looking for an app. To be honest, as I use the toolbox; what is listed in toolbox IS what jetbrains offers to me. Means that is also a trigger for me to discover new products. Regarding youtrack I remembered just a bit from a YT video once - otherwise I would not notice that product.
However I agree to have a simple desktop app because of already mentioned benefits - especially “not another browser tab”.
Resurrecting this thread. I would LOVE a desktop app (for linux). I run a few teams of developers and they agree. Right now, there's not a single issue tracking software with linux app… which is CRAZY. Jira, Redmine, Bugzilla, nothing has a full fledged app.
Mashanov Job at the moment, there are no news that we can share. All updates will be posted under JT-84872, and you should be notified as you are subscribed to this issue.

Hi! No, YouTrack does not come as a desktop application, and there are no plans for such development soon.
Thanks.
It would REALLY NICE to have the Desktop App for a great product like YouTrack!!!
Even GitHub has a desktop app. This is great because:
- it eliminates a million tabs in the chrome browser who bogs down the browser. (Granted you might take the Electron app approach, please don't)
- it would be a streamline experience as it communicates with the YouTrack server via APIs just like the web app would.
- Tight integration with Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Meet for video conferencing.
- Tigher integration to record product features, bug reproducible behaviors via screencasting

When will the app for Windows already be available? or at least notifications in the browser?
