The principle of setting a color for Labels field
Hi.
I have different values of Labels field in project. Every value has color.
When I specify values for Labels in an issue, for some reason the Labels is always painted the same color. In the issue, the label is always yellow (UI value).
For some reason, when I set the UI value to yellow, the Labels field always turns yellow.
Tell me, on what principle is the field colored if several color values are used in one field?

Hi!
I'm Sergey from the YouTrack team.
If you have multiple values selected, it always shows a label of the first value only.
Thanks for your reply.
However, I noticed that when adding a value for the Labels field, values are displayed not in the order of addition, but in random order. In my case, the UI value is always displayed first, even if new values have been added after it (as in the screenshot above).
Please tell me how the sorting of values in the Labels field is determined?
I use server YouTrack Build 2023.1.17582.
Thanks for your response.
Currently, they are shown in the order they were created (i.e., it starts from the one you created first). Yet it likely makes sense to preserve the order as specified in the settings. I created a corresponding issue to address it in our public tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JT-77345/Preserve-values-order-when-selecting-multiple-values-in-a-field.
