Bulk Edit Issues?

This feels like it should be really easy, but I can't find a way to do it.

I made a bunch of new issues but forgot to assign them to the person they're to be assigned to. I want to select all unassigned issues and be able to apply an assignment to them simultaneously. When I do a query or a search, there's no checkboxes next to the issues even though the issues do display. The only way I can see to edit an item is to go into each of the individually.

This shouldn't be so hard. How do you bulk edit a bunch of different issues? Like if I have my list out and I want to select 3 and change them to be dependencies of a 4th item, that should be pretty easy, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Hi,

I'm Lena from the YouTrack Team.

You can apply the changes to several issues at once using the commands: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/cloud/2023.2/commands.html

The ability to apply commands to multiple issues is only available in YouTrack Classic. If you're currently working with YouTrack Lite, you need to switch it off.

Once you are in the YouTrack Classic interface, you can see the checkboxes. Select the required issues (or use a search query and select them all) and call the command dialogue as described here: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/cloud/2023.2/apply-commands-to-issues.html

Let me know if it is what you are looking for.
