Creating releases in multiple projects

Is there anyway(workflow or other) to create a release in a project and have it mirrored in another project?  

We're using two separate projects, one for external reporting from users, and another for internal tracking.  Would be nice to be able to push releases from the development project.

Could you please clarify the use case?
From now it's not clear what do you mean by 'release project' when speak about YouTrack.

I was referring to a software versions within a project.   So if I create a new version in a project(say 1.0), I want 1.0 to be created in another project that we link tasks to.  Thanks.
