Remove a project from being imported in Project Mapping

We have an import configuration previously set up. We no longer wish to import one of the projects under Project Mapping. But everything is greyed out when we go to Edit under Project Mapping and will not let us remove the project from the list.

Looking like we've have to start all over, deleting all the previous imported projects and creating a brand new import configuration?

Simply allowing to stop importing a project sounds like an easy ask, but doesn't seem available?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

You're right that there isn’t an option to remove a project from an existing import configuration. However, if you're using YouTrack 2024.3 or higher, you can work this around without starting from scratch:

  • Disable (do not remove) the current import configuration—this will stop continuous imports and prevent non-continuous ones from resuming.
  • Create a new configuration for the same source URL and include only the projects you want to continue importing.

The reason this isn't directly supported is related to technical restrictions. The import configuration remains linked to the source system. Removing a project from the mapping without removing the entire configuration could lead to unexpected issues and data inconsistencies.

If you have any other questions, let me know!
