Why can't developer edit an issue?
Hi all,
I'm just evaluating youtrack and I'm a bit stumped with user permissions!
With the super user, I've created a couple of projects and it seems that with these I automatically get teams created '<project name> team'. These teams automatically have the role of 'Developer'.
I've gone to my users and granted them 'Developer' roles in the two projects. Then I have created a couple of issues and assigned them to the users. However, when the users log in, they don't have the ability to either edit the issues I've created as super user, nor create their own issues.
As I thought I understood it, Developers should be allowed to edit and create issues shouldn't they?
On checking the role 'Developer' I noticed that there is a difference between a Hub application and a YouTrack application though, is this the reason? I don't know the difference between the two.
Can anyone explain in simple step by step terms what I need to do or where I'm going wrong here?
Many thanks
Kevin

Hello,
Normally, a developer can view and edit issues.
Could you please attach screenshots of that user's roles (settings -> users -> username -> roles) and what does he see instead of the issue?
You can create a support request (https://youtrack-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=66282) and attach the files there to avoid disclosing sensitive information.
