Would you please elaborate a bit on what do you mean? 

YouTrack allows various customizations using custom fields (https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/standalone/Custom-Fields.html; allow you customizing the issue form and storing data you need according to your process), workflows (https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/standalone/Quick-Start-Guide-Workflows-JS.html; javascript scripts that extend YouTrack functionality by triggering on some event, or according to a schedule, or on some action and performing some logic specified by you) and REST API (https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/standalone/youtrack-rest-api-reference.html; basically it allows you to introduce any integration you want to have or to fetch data from YouTrack and use it is some third-party service). REST requests can be issued in the scope of workflow logic, please refer to https://www.jetbrains.com/help/youtrack/standalone/JS-Workflow-REST-API.html for more details.
