Setting up YouTrack for company

Hello,

I know this is a question with no real answer, as every company has to find its own way how to implement YouTrack.

But in your experience what would be the best practice in setting up YouTrack for a small-mid IT company.

For example should "projects" in YouTrack represent clients, or departments or something else?

You are right; there is no particular recommendation on the correct way of usage. Each company analyses their needs and sets up YouTrack according to them. If you work with clients on a project basis, you can associate them with the projects. At the same time, it will be easier to associate teams and departments with the projects if you are a product company.
