Forward a email to youtrack to create a ticket on behalf of the original sender

Hello,

I get e-Mails from my clients and I want to forward them to youtrack to create a ticket on behalf of the original sender.

Is that possible?

This scenario
A customer (customer@myclients.de) sends an email to marco@mycompany.de instead of support@mycomoany.de
I want to forward this email to my youtrack helpdesk to create a ticket from customer@myclients.de and not from marco@mycompany.de

Thanks for any hint.

Best regards Marco

Hi Marco,

Thank you for reaching out.

We have a feature called Mailbox Integration, which helps you fetch emails from your mailbox and create corresponding issues and comments in YouTrack.

If you set up automatic forwarding for those emails, the original sender's information will be retained, and a ticket will be created on their behalf. However, manual forwarding from your email client won't achieve this, as it forwards the email under your address, not the original sender's.

If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask.
