Sorry for the long delay in replying,you can restore root's password by the restarting YouTrack with the option -Djetbrains.charisma.restoreRootPassword=true.Please see details in the documentation.

Steve, do you have customizable workflows, that could do it?With default settings visibility group shouldn't be lost.

If you admin of both projects you can merge these bundles. Go to Administration > project > 'Fields' tab > 'A priorities' and click 'merge' link on the top.
